We are always on the lookout for new reliable, conscientious, caring, passionate and dedicated staff to join our brilliant existing team of carers.  

We are a local family run business based in Beckenham and we recruit our team from the local population within the local London Borough of Bromley.  

When you come to work for us we will provide you with full training and support to ensure that you feel confident in your role.

You will work under the guidance of an experienced carer until you are ready to work on your own.

“I came to work for Kentish as I wanted to care for people. I had been unwell myself and others had cared for me and I wanted to give something back.  I started this new profession in my early 60s and have been working for Kentish Homecare now for 2 ½  years. I really enjoy what I do.  I work 3 days a week and I look forward to seeing the clients and working with my colleagues”.  

“I was persuaded to start working for Kentish by my friend, who also worked here.  I had been made redundant from my job 3 months earlier and wanted to do something where I could help people and make a difference.  Initially, I was worried about what I was letting myself in for and what type of clients I would be sent to, having never done care before.  When I first started my training I was still unsure if it is was really for me or not as was worried about the level of care that I had to provide and travelling around to get to different clients. 10 years later I am still here and I really did not need to have worried.   Kentish has always been very supportive to me, sending me to clients who fit my personal skill set. I love the clients that I go to see. I have also been able to complete my NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care. It gives me a real sense of satisfaction knowing that I have been able to help them.  After completing my calls for the week, I like to go into the office for a tea, chat and catch up with the office staff”.

“I applied for a job at Kentish whilst I was completing my BTEC Level 3 in Health and Social Care. I really enjoy meeting people, helping them and learning all about them.  I have then had a lot of opportunities at Kentish to develop and also complete further training.  I enjoyed it so much that I recommended Kentish to my sister who also took up care and joined Kentish.  While I was working at Kentish I completed a Management Degree and I am now still visiting my clients some evening and weekends, but now mainly work in the office and I am hoping to compete more training to one day take on a management position”.
Because of the nature of the work we do, it is strongly preferable for our carers to be car drivers with your own (working) vehicle as you will be travelling around the area going from client to client. Our Pay Rates include a travel supplement to help you with your cost of travel such as petrol etc..

Please also note that in order to work for us you will also need to complete a Criminal Records check,  known as a  DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS”) check. This is a background check for any criminal convictions etc so that we can be confident of your suitability for this kind of work.
